Sakhalin Energy is delivering a groundbreaking oil and gas project - the Sakhalin-2 Project. This project involves the development of two offshore fields: Piltun-Astokhskoye and Lunskoye oil and gas fields of the north-eastern coast of Sakhalin, including production and export of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The project infrastructure involves the following production facilities:

  • Offshore oil and gas platforms: Piltun-Astokhskoye-A (PA-A / Molikpaq), Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B) and Lunskoye-A (Lun-A).
  • Onshore processing facility (OPF)
  • Transsakhalin pipeline system to carry oil and gas from the platforms to the south of the island.
  • Booster Station (BS) 2.
  • Prigorodnoye production complex, consisting of the LNG plant and oil export terminal.

To this end, the company has committed to continuously improve its business performance in ways that have no impact on safety and reliability. 

    The company continues to roll out initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of all processes, including technical and organisational efforts to enhance the hydrocarbon recovery from Sakhalin-2 fields. Some initiatives also contribute to year-by-year growth in hydrocarbon recovery volumes.
